We have an exciting opportunity for a new team member to join us here at Saxa Vord Distillery as a Junior Distillery Assistant!
The new position is available thanks to funding from the Scottish Government’s Young Person’s Guarantee.
The Young Person’s Guarantee provides funding to employers to create new 6-month job placements for people aged between 16 and 24.
The overall aim of the project is to support young talent and help them succeed – despite the economic impacts of coronavirus - through the creation of jobs and apprenticeships across Scotland.
The Junior Distillery Assistant will be provided with support and training in-house by the Shetland Reel team, developing their skillset and responsibilities in relation to all aspects of distillery operations.
General day-to-day duties for the successful candidate will include bottling, labelling, packaging, cleaning and processing of orders generated online.
The position is based at Saxa Vord Distillery in Unst, working 25+ hours from Monday to Friday each week. Accommodation is also available for any candidates looking to relocate.
